    The Black Individual

    ktabi:

When you understand your culture then you can better understand the basis behind anger and aggression we deliver. We are constantly represented as beings who have nothing to contribute and are occasionally thrown to the side to fend for our own existence. From employment to personal ventures in public. When you are portrayed to a certain extent the objects you are aiming to reach for will constantly either be out of your grasp or be stolen from you. Being Black in this generation (but all around) has been a constant upheaval of making ourselves known to society as the original “trend setters”. From our work ethics in slavery to our form of fashion today, the cause and effect are consistently being given to the “whites” of America. We are the Credit but not in the credits.

You as a Black individual (I’ve never approved of African American) must show composure, for it is the subconscious level of thought to be submissive and partake in servitude. The beliefs and the language of this continent have been programmed to guide us to be “acceptable” when in the reality of it all we have been branded as unwelcome to the U.S. How do we maintain our dignity? By constantly creating new ideas or behaviors. Yes these are stolen by the “white” Americans over time and yes the mainstream culture accepts it but over that time frame we have already passes the torch to invest our energies in other ventures.

How often in recent moments have we been copied? “Twerking” was the most recent if I’m not mistaken, or should I say the want to have a bigger ass. Lust provoked this outbreak of pleasurable wants so we allowed the “whites” of America to bandwagon our interest, take it over, and make a profit from it. Think about it, how much profit has “white” America made from our ingenuity in the past two months? Miley has branded her name to our culture but will not support it when the time comes, Iggy (what kind of name is that…) has been accepted as one of us? Common though. If the money can be made…

Ask yourself, how as of late or in any time span have you allowed a “white” American to model after you? Lingo, attire, or mannerisms. The uncomfortable feeling you’ve felt, have you sat to rethink what you could have done or said? The country feeds off the races who profit value to the “System”. Just because there is a Black man in the White House does not mean he’s able to disperse the power he wants? As we all, he is too. Just a suit and tie figurehead. This nation only appointed him to regain the control they lost from the Bush administration. This Government is only about profiting the suppliers that support the House pillars. Nothing more. Nothing less. Am I a supporter? No. I choose not to vote anymore and you can proclaim to Mt. Zion that every voice needs to be heard but how about the people use that voice to regain the balance other countries have succeeded in doing.

Our (Black) culture is gradually becoming whitewashed. Diluted if you wish for me to be PG. Sad to say. You can call me a racist but only those who constantly bring up the negative aspects of the “other” kind are that. Those who want to always demote and molest the principles in which the “others” stand for, they are what I see as being racist. Your blind if you do not wish to accept these facts.

    I’ve said enough.
